About Johannes Vogel
Johannes Vogel studied biology at the University of Bielefeld and completed his doctorate at the University of Cambridge. He has been in charge of the Berlin Museum für Naturkunde since 2012. His research focuses on the role played by museums in science and society, citizen science, scientific dialogue, national and international research policy, biodiversity and plant evolutionary biology. Johannes Vogel is chair of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) and was chair of the European Open Science Policy Platform (OSPP) from 2016-2018, alongside other positions.
