About Reimund Neugebauer
Reimund Neugebauer studied mechanical engineering, with a focus on machine tool design, at TU Dresden, where he received his doctorate in 1984 and his post-doctoral qualification in 1991. He has worked for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft since 1991. He started as Director of the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Forming Technology and Machine Tools and has been President since 2012. He is a member of the steering group of the Innovation Dialogue between the Federal Government, science and industry, a member of the High-Level Group of Personalities on Defence Research at the European Defence Agency and a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, alongside other positions.
