About Patrizia Nanz
Patrizia Nanz is Vice President of the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management (BASE). She has been a Professor of Political Theory at the University of Bremen since 2002. Between 2016 and 2021, she was Scientific Director of the IASS and Professor of Transformative Sustainability Studies at the University of Potsdam. Her research focuses on environmental and social sustainability, the future of democracy and the relationship between science and society. Patrizia Nanz is also co-chair of the science platform Sustainability 2030.
