About Andreas Barner

Andreas Barner has been President of the Donors’ Association for the Promotion of Humanities and Sciences in Germany (Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V.) since 2013. From 2009 to 2016, he was Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Boehringer Ingelheim, moving to the Shareholders’ Committee in July 2016. Andreas Barner is a member of the senate and Executive Committee of the Max Planck Society, an honorary professor at the University of Freiburg and a member of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Deutschland. He has been Managing Director and Chair of the Board of Trustees of FAZIT-STIFTUNG since 2016.
